The University of North Dakota Advances To WCHA Final Five!
The University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies 2 games to 1 in the first round of the WCHA Playoffs, last weekend.  The victory advances UND into the semifinal round of the Final Five, where they will face Denver in the 2:07 p.m. first semifinal game at the Xcel Center in St.Paul, Minn. Friday.

In the second semifinal game the Minnesota/St. Cloud State winner will face top seeded Colorado College at 7:07 p.m. The Championship game will be played Saturday night in St. Paul.

It seems to not matter how the Fighting Sioux do in the Final Five, they will be advancing into the NCAA Regional Tournament next week with hopes of playing their way into the Frozen Four.
